My name is Maria and on this blog I will share with you some of my working principles, how I shoot, my workflow and my experiences.
Read also about my first street photography shots, which were taken in Moscow. The idea of the ‘decisive moment’ had not yet entered my consciousness, but I tried to develop my own interpretation of the scene, inspired by the legendary Swedish photographer Christer Strömholm.
Today I’m sitting with a Nikon D3X with its amazing resolution of 24.5 megapixels (6,048 x 4,032 pixels) and finally after so many years I can give my clients digital photos that can be enlarged to wall sized prints.Click here... |

Successful photo exhibition |

The photo exhibition ‘Ocean Fishing — Six Trips on the North Atlantic’ featuring about 30 photos from my book ‘Images of Fishermen: the North Atlantic’. kicked off at the National Maritime Museum in Stockholm in 2008. The exhibition continued to Nordatlantens Brygge in Copenhagen in 2009 as well as to Fiskeri- og Søfartsmuseet in Esbjerg, followed in 2010 by Víkin — Sjóminjasafnið, in Reykjavík. The exhibition was also held in Greenland, at the Katuaq — Grønlands Kulturhus and the Nordic House in the Faroe Islands. |
